Issy graduated in 2021 with a First Class Joint Honours degree in History and Music from Royal Holloway, University of London, where she studied singing under the tutelage of Stuart MacIntyre. She held a choral scholarship in the Choir of Royal Holloway, in her final year also taking up at choral scholarship at St Bartholomew the Great, London, both under the direction of Rupert Gough. With the Choir of Royal Holloway Issy has performed both nationally and internationally, participating in three services of Choral Evensong broadcast on BBC Radio 3, in addition to numerous recordings for record labels Signum, Ad Fontes and Convivium. Among these, she recorded a solo movement in George Arthur's setting of the Stabat Mater, released by Convivium in 2022.

Issy has been involved in a variety of small ensemble work, from early music to close harmony jazz arrangements. This has enabled her to work with former King's Singers David Hurley and Timothy Wayne-Wright. She has also deputised in the choirs of Winchester Cathedral, Beaulieu Abbey, Romsey Abbey and St Bartholomew the Great. As a soloist she has performed in the Brandenburg Festival's virtual concert series, singing movements from Vivaldi's Gloria, and regularly performs in large-scale choral works alongside amateur ensembles in Hampshire. In 2021 she was a member of the eleventh cohort of the Sixteen's competitive training programme, Genesis Sixteen, under the direction of Harry Christophers and Eamonn Dougan. She has also previously worked as a singing teacher of secondary-aged children for Hampshire Music Service, having previously benefitted herself as a student of their wonderful ensembles.

Issy now works part-time for the National Trust as a Collections Assistant, carrying out preventive conservation work at Hinton Ampner and Uppark House. In October 2024 she graduated from her masters degree in History at the University of Southampton with Distinction. Outside of work and university, she has published her first review article in the academic journal Jewish Culture and History.

Issy founded Esprimo in 2019 as a development project for ex-students of Hampshire Music Service and Peter Symonds College. Originally intended to be a development project to keep members singing during university holidays, she is delighted to see it is still going strong today.
