Born in Winchester, Alex is now a London-based sound engineer who specialises in recording classical music. He has recently taken on various choral and orchestral recording projects after graduating from the University of Surrey, where he studied Music and Sound Recording. Alex’s notable credits include: ‘Let them hear’ Rev 21 (Recording Engineer); Momentum [1]: Walton, Respighi, Liya Petrova, RPO (Editor - Walton); Coronation - Music for Royal Occasions, The Sixteen (Mastering Engineer); The Leeds International Piano Competition 2024; and Medici, TV (Sound Assistant).

 

Alex has previously sung with Hampshire County Youth Choir as well as in the National Youth Choir of Great Britain, in halls and churches which have since become his recording locations. Keeping his low bass voice in tune, Alex has sung with Esprimo since its formation in 2019. During this time he has worked on the consort's various recording projects - virtual and in-person - during the covid-19 pandemic, and on tour in the summer of 2024.
