Esprimo was formed as a self-directed consort of young singers in August 2019. Originally set up as a development project for ex-Hampshire County Youth Choir members and Peter Symonds College students, it has since evolved to encompass singers who have studied at a number of renowned institutions. These include: The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama; Trinity Laban Conservatoire; the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge; Royal Holloway, University of London; and the Universities of Durham, Warwick, and Southampton. In addition to the consort's extensive musical activities, its members have also studied a number of other discipines which include Philosophy, History, Languages, Medicine, Education and Literature.

Esprimo enjoy performing a range of repertoire, from Early Music staples through to contemporary close harmony arrangements of Folk and Popular tunes. The Consort have performed in venues across the Winchester area and are delighted to be touring to central France in July 2024.
